Tim Holtz Distress Inks are a collection of twenty four acid-free, non-toxic,
fade resistant, water-based dye inks. They’re perfect for the new vintage,
stained, aged effect crafters are creating in their altered books, scrapbook
pages, cards and paper craft projects. Tim selected the colors and helped develope
these inks to produce a realistic, weathered look on paper, photos and
decorative fibers.
The 2" x 2" pads have a raised felt for
easier use with direct to paper techniques.

Re-inkers come in .5 oz. amber glass bottles with eye drop applicators.

What makes Distress Inks unique?:

• They stay wet longer allowing you to blend on photos, paper, and stamped
  images2 (you can also emboss on images2 stamped with Distress Inks).
• The color wicks (or spreads out) across paper when wet, creating multiple
  tones of the same color. (Perfect if you want a background stamp to be softened
  or distressed and have fuzzy/feathered edges.)
• Some brown and black dyes will break down when water is added, leaving a pink or green hue,
  Distress Inks won't - the colors are stable.
• The colors are differnt than the colors in other ink pad lines.
• Will work on glossy surfaces - make great 'old' looking photo stamped images.
• Also great to 'age' images stamped on glossy paper.

This tag is stamped with Weathered Wood Distress Ink and Library Green Archival Ink. (Yes Weathered Wood is blue!)
The distressed ink makes an image that is not as sharp.
