Adirondack pigment pens are different from any other marker you have tried before.
The color comes from water-based pigment (not quite the same as pigment pads which are glycerine based).
Most markers are water-based dye like a dye stamp pad.
Adirondack markers work on porous or non-porous surfaces.
They are permanent on slick surfaces (vellum, glossy paper, acetate, shrink plastic, metal)
but blendable while wet - no other marker can do this!
Permanent when heat-set or dry.
And of course they are archival & acid free so perfect for scrapbooking & journaling.
