I made this book for my daughter, who is doing her last semester of university in Finland, to take with her. It's small & full of pictures of her family & boyfriend, quotes, and a note from each of us on the back of a tag. I also put punched out hearts with 'hugs & kisses' stamped on them in each tag pocket.

The book is made from several pieces of Fancy Pants double sided Wildheart paper cut 5 x 5". I hole punced the sides & tied it together with ribbon. The cover is 2 large shipping tags. I misted them, crumpled them & then rubbed distress ink across them (tattered rose & milled lavender).

The front is decorated with a map of Finland covered with a picture of Monica printed on a transparency. I cut out all the tags using the hot off the press tag template from Fancy Pants Wildheart paper. I stamped & embossed the suitcase on the Dreamer paper, then cut out & hole punched. The tag has a couple paper flowers on it. Tied the tag & suitcase on when I tied the book together. Title is printed on vellum with my computer.

I cut out a picture of Monica and put wings on it - wings are stamped & silver embossed then cut out. Travel definitions are from Defined Stickers. Behind Monica is a picture of the city where she lives printed off the internet. I used alcohol inks to color a transparency & then stamped Paperbag Studio Everyday on it. The page is also decorated with a butterfly sticker from K & Company Daisy Images, a clock sticker (which has crackle medium on it) and punched hearts. 'Enjoy your journey' is stamped with Impression Obsession 'Express Yourself' clear word stamps.

Lots of pictures, quotes printed on vellum or paper, the fish is a packing tape transfer from a reader's digest, the pink heart is from a Creative Imaginations epoxy sticker sheet, paper flower. Tag pockets are made by cutting out a piece of Fancy Pants paper & using double sided adhesive on the sides & bottom, leaving the top open.

The pocket on this page is made with a transparency with my picture printed on it. I glued ribbon along the edges. I put quotes or stamps on one side of the tags & then we each wrote messages on the back.

Pictures, quotes, etc. The center picture on the right side is printed on transparency and then on top of another picture of the same person. I liked the way it turned out but have taken a bit of criticism over the picture with the eye in the middle of his forehead!

Hearts are an Impression Obsession stamp. The picture on the top right is altered using Paint Shop Pro.

The pocket on this page is open on the right side and also made with a transparency printed on. The larger picture on the right side is altered in Paint Shop Pro and I used decorative scissors to cut the edge of the picture matting.

The tags on the right side are stamped and embossed in gold (from Stampendous 'Timeless Tags' clear stamp set). Then I used the Impression Obsession 'Express Yourself' clear words (I use this stamp set a LOT).

Used the larger tag stamp (Timeless Tag set) and stamped the tags & ribbons. 'Walk to the edge' is from a Hot off the Press 'Mary Ann's Word Garden' book.

Pictures of our pets, where she works, and our house! Fireworks are stamped and embossed with Christmas Tree antiquities.

Paperbag studio stamp 'The Journey' on transparency over Basic Grey Sublime paper Four Corners. On the back cover I used peeled paint & weathered wood distress inks.
