Scrapbooking Calendar

Scrapbooking Calendar - February ......Scrapbooking Calendar - February

Materials:

Instructions:
- Cut 12 x 12" Mustard Moon Lighthouse red large plaid Paper to fit the 8.5 x 11" page.
- Cut out two of the three heart cut-outs, I chose the two on the bottom, as well as the four plaid corners. Then cut out the heart cut-out and the pink banner.
- Once you have cut out everything, take your exacto knife and cut out the pink middle section of the take heart cut-out (can be used on another project).
- Cut a piece of vellum 4.25 x 1" and write 'Be Mine' on it vertically in your favorite country style printing in a dark red felt.
- Pick two pictures. Attach one behind the cut-out that now has a hole in the middle (used to say take heart). (Make sure the picture is cut to the right size before attaching), so that it is bordered with the tan color.
- Cut the other picture to desired size and attach two of the plaid corners to it, one in the top left and one in the bottom right with glue dots or desired adhesive.
- Now attach the vellum to the pink banner, so that it is centered. I recommend using sailor rolling ball glue pen for vellum and try to put the dots behind the letters, so the glue shows as little as possible.
- Attach the other two plaid corners to the top and bottom left corners of the page.
- Now, attach the heart with the plaid background to the top right corner and the picture with the plaid corners to the bottom left corner. Don't attach the pictures to the very edge leave about 1/4" between the picture and the edge.
- Attach the picture bordered with tan about 1/2" away from the heart with plaid background and about 1 1/8" away from the top of the page.
-Attach the other heart about 1/4" away from the picture with the plaid corners and about 1 1/2" above the bottom edge of the page.
-Attach the 'Be Mine' Banner to the paper about 1/4" from the left edge, 2 5/8" from the top of the page and 3 3/4" from the bottom of the page.
-Now go to the second month of the date pad area.
-Cut a piece of pastel pink mulberry kozo paper 1.25" x 7".
-Cut a 2 x 8 7/8" piece of mustard moon paper from what you have left from cutting it down to a 8.5 x 11" size page.
-Center the Mulberry Kozo Paper on the Mustard Moon paper, then attach. I do not recommend using glue dots on Mulberry Kozo paper, use another adhesive (the Kozo paper tears when you try to pull the glue dot off the roll!).
-Take the February sticker off of the Susan Branch 'Months' sticker sheet and stick it to the center of the Mulberry Kozo paper.
-Attach this February banner to the black box above the date area on the calendar page.
-Starting with Sunday label the squares from 1 to 29 (for 2004) in the top right corner with a pink Memories Metellic Marker.
-Take the Susan Branch 'Kisses' sticker sheet and place a kiss on the 1st and 5th blank date square. (The last six squares have no date for 2004.)
-Take the Debbie Mumm 'Love' sticker sheet and cut the words 'token of my affection' off of the big heart with wings. Stick the heart on the 3rd blank date square. Place two small hearts on both the 2nd and 4th blank date square with the tips of the hearts slightly pointing towards the middle, not straight up and down.
-Take the Susan Branch "Months' sticker sheet and place a clock with wings that says 'Time Flies' on the last blank date square.
-On the 14th day of the month, Valentines Day, place a heart on the date square, so no one forgets that special day.
-Congratulations! You have completed February.

There is an endless variety of pages you can make this way by using different Mustard Moon Papers and Ivy cottage Cut-outs. Of course you can also add other stickers or embellishments. You can substitute stickers or embellishments for the picture. You can use something else to make the banner, like a tag, or just use something other than clear vellum to write on and of course, you can write something else. Or you could just rearrange the cut-outs and pictures in a different way.
