Scrapbooking Calendar - March
......
Materials:
Instructions:
- Take the 8.5 x 11" lilac cardstock and use glue dots or desired adhesive to attach the butterfly imprintable to the center of the page.
-Put your vellum paper (you may have to cut it down to an 8.5 x 11" page if it is a 12 x 12" piece of paper) in the printer and print your favorite poem or quote on it, in a font you feel matches the page. *Make sure you test that the size of the poem or quote you are printing fits the imprintable how you want it to, by first printing on a scrap piece of paper and seeing how it looks on the imprintable. I chose French Script MT font and wrote; "Love is like a butterfly: If you hold it to closely You can kill it, but if you don't Hold it close enough, it can fly away."
- Now attach the vellum to the center of the imprintable. I suggest using sailor rolling ball glue pen for vellum and try to put the dots of glue behind the letters, so it shows as little as possible.
- Put a lilac mist butterfly eyelet on the top two corners of the vellum. See the eyelet page for instructions to use eyelets.
- Put one medium size butterfly sticker on both the top two corners of the cardstock from the Debbie Mumm 'Butterflies' 4 x 6.5" sticker sheet. From the same sticker sheet put large butterfly stickers in the bottom two corners.
- Take four Debbie Mumm 'Butterflies' stick'ems and put one on each side around the imprintable (right, left, top, bottom) on the cardstock. Do not put them on the center of each side, vary where you place them.
-Now go to the third month of the date pad area.
-Cut out the purple tiles, letters M A R C H from the Alphabet Tiles book.
-Using glue dots or desired adhesive write the word MARCH with them in an arch shape in the center of the heading space above the date squares.
-Stick a small butterfly from the Debbie Mumm 'Butterflies' 4 x 6.5" sticker sheet under the arch and to large butterflies on either side of the arch with the tops of their wings pointing slightly inward.
-Starting with Monday label the squares from 1 to 31 (for 2004) in the top right corner with a purple Memories Metellic Marker.
-Take the Debbie Mumm 'Butterflies' sticker sheet and place a small butterfly on the 1st blank Sunday date square. Then place a small butterfly on the 3rd last blank date square of the month and stick some extra small butterflies in the last two blank date squares.(The first square and last three squares have no date for 2004 in March.)
-Take the duckweed pressed flower sticker and trim the excess clear sticker from around the clover. Stick the sticker on the 17th date square for St. Patrick's Day.
-Congratulations! You have completed March.
There is an endless variety of pages you can make this way by using different 8.5 x 11" or 12 x 12" cardstock papers and Imprintables. Of course you can also add other stickers or embellishments to match all the different colors of cardstock and imprintables. You can substitute a picture for the poem or just use a different poem or quote. You could use more or less eyelets in different spots on the page, or you could attach everything to the page with eyelets instead of adhesives. There are sooo many different things you can do, so be creative and have fun!
