Scrapbooking Calendar - May ......

Materials:

Instructions:
- Take your hots - pink cardstock and your ME Birthday sticker sheet. Stick the Happy & Birthday Banner Stickers at the top of the cardstock in an arch shape.
-Cut the picture you have chosen to the desired size and using adhesives attach it in front of a piece of yellow - hots cardstock.
-Cut the cardstock out around the picture leaving about 1/4" showing on all sides around the outside of the picture.
-Now cut a tag shape out of the yellow cardstock.
-Attach your pomegranate eyelet to the top center of the tag. See the eyelet page for instructions to use eyelets.
-Take the magic mesh, starting at the left upper edge (like shown in the picture) and put it on the tag diagonally, so that it goes right under the eyelet and ends up approximately 1/4" or 1/2 cm away from the bottom right edge.
-Take the purple background Happy Birthday rectangle sticker from the ME sheet and place it on the other pink cardstock. Trim around the picture, so that there is 1/8" of cardstock showing around each side. Cut the top side like the tag. (See picture.)
-Attach the Happy Birthday sticker to the center of the tag using your favorite adhesives.
- Take the bottom piece of the border sticker from the ME stickers and stick it to the bottom of the page.
-Place the picture on the page with the top right corner under the R in birthday. Angle the left side downwards. Attach the picture to the page using your 4 posie pink brads. See the brads page for instructions to use brads.
-Take your rose wire and cut a piece approximately 8" long. Put the piece through the eyelet on the tag. Tie it at the top leaving about 1/2" on either side of the knot. Put a mini glue dot on the back of the knot and stick it above the brad on the bottom right of the picture, this makes it look like it is hanging from it.
-Attach the tag to the page where the wire reaches to. Angle the bottom lefthand corner up.
-From the ME sticker sheet, stick a pink and blue cupcake in the top right corner. Stick the party noise maker below the H in Happy Birthday, but above the picture. Stick the cupcakes and candy on a green sheet beside the bottom right side of the picture. Stick the yellow and red present between the tag and the picture. Stick the pink cake slice about an inch below the bottom left corner of the picture. Stick the pink cake with lit candles about an inch to the side of the bottom right corner of the tag.

-Now go to the fifth month of the date pad area.
-Take the magic mesh roll and roll it out along the title area of the date pad. Do not stick it just set it so that it is completely covering the area, then using an exacto knife trim the excess off, following the black line on the date pad. Do not press hard with the knife, you only want to cut the mesh not the paper. Once it fits, press it down.
-Take the May sticker from the Debbie Mumm Months Stickers and place it to the pink cardstock that you cut out of. Cut out in the shape of the letters leaving about 1/4" around the whole thing. Using a glue dot stick it it the yellow cardstock. Cut it out leaving about 1/4" yellow around the pink. Repeat with pink again.
-Attach it to the left side of the title area on an angle. Put the brown cake with candles sticker from the ME Birthday sheet on the yellow cardstock and cut out around it, leaving about 1/4" on each side. Stick the yellow, purple and pink present with balloons on the pink cardstock you cut out of and cut it out leaving about 1/4" around each side.
-Using adhesives stick the cake and the present to the title area. The cake to the middle on an angle and the present on the right on an angle.
-From the ME sticker sheet stick a blue and pink cupcake in the top left corner of the first Sunday in the date pad. Stick a cupcake with pink topping and a rose in the bottom right corner of the same square. From the same sticker sheet stick a pink balloon in the top of the first Monday square. Take your black marker and draw a twisty string coming out the bottom of the balloon. On the first Tuesday stick a plate with cake on it in the top on an angle. Stick a cupcake with pink icing and a cherry on top in the bottom left corner. On the first Wednesday stick a yellow balloon in the middle. Draw a twisty string coming out the bottom of the balloon with your black marker. On the first Thursday stick a blue and pink cupcake in the top right corner and a cupcake with pink icing and a rose in the bottom left corner. Stick a blue balloon upside down in the bottom of the first Friday square. Draw a twisty string coming out the bottom of the balloon with your blcak marker. These days are blank for 2004.
-Starting with Saturday label the squares from 1 to 31 (for 2004) in the top right corner with a pink Memories Metellic Marker. On the last Sunday and monday of the month draw a diagonal line through from a bottom corner to the opposite top corner. These two days have to be 23 & 30 and 24 & 31.
-Congratulations! You have completed May.

There is an endless variety of pages you can make this way by using different 8.5 x 11" cardstocks and Mary Engelbreit or Debbie Mumm stickers. Of course you can also add other stickers or embellishments to match all the different stickers and cardstocks. You can substitute a poem, quote or story for the picture. You could use corners instead of brads. You could use eyelets to attach everything. You could just arrange everything differently. There are sooo many different things you can do, so be creative and have fun!
