Dad Birthday Card

Materials:

• Burnt orange & scraps of dark brown or black cardstock
• Basic Grey Paper Scarlett’s Letter Paper Pack
• Basic Grey Urban Couture sticker letters
• Paper scraps for circles & circle matting
• Bronze Ink pad or Posh Accent Pen - Copper
• Tag Template
• Orange & grey eyelets
• Pewter, orange & brass brads
• Brass Photo Turn
• Coordinating ribbons & fibers
• Stickers from K-Ology Hannah Stickers to Go book
• Inkadinkado Foam Works Stamps Textures
• Adirondack Expresso Ink pad
• Versacolor Scarlet Ink pad
• Circle cutter or template
• Circle Punch
• String - black & white
• Copper thread or wire
• Button
• OPTIONAL: Stampendous Perfectly Clear Stamps, Birthday Words
• Eyelet tools
• Scissors/paper trimmer
• Adhesives including glue dots

Instructions:

• Cut burnt orange cardstock 8 x 5 ¾” Ink edges with bronze ink
• Cut front of card from Scarlet’s letter Love Letter paper , lower left corner to 5 ¾” x 4”
• Cut orange card mat to suit as shown approx 5 ¾” x long side, 4 ¾” top angle, 3 5/8” lower angle, 1 3/8” lower edge
• Cut triangle similar size to orange mat, on an angle from centre of Scarlet’s Letter Ancient Ruins paper Where the grid and dots are most prominent, following the lines and dots as shown. Trim to suit mat.
• Ink edges of triangle paper with scarlet ink and wipe with a little bronze ink.
• Cut holes and place eyelets and brads as shown
• Cut circles 1 ¼” and ¾” as desired and place on white circles on front paper
• Overlay with matted triangle
• Cut 2 ½” tag approx from grey paper or cardstock
• Cut 2 x 1 ½” tags from orange basic grey paper or cardstock and 1 x 1 ½” tag from Scarlett’s Letter, Love Letter black and white scrap
• Ink tags with scarlet ink
• Ink button-type stamp from foam stamps with expresso ink and stamp off coner of large tag
• Apply lettering and stickers to tags, matting as desired
• Cut 2 x 2 ½” lengths of ribbon and thread through tags
• Cut 1 x 3” length of string, thread through tag, fray and trim Cut 1 ½” circle frame from black card and layer under Dad tag
• Thread button with copper thread or wire and apply with a mini glue dot
• Cut ¾” circle from orange card and ink with expresso
• Cut small black circle to use for washer and layer with photo turn and brad
• Affix all to card using adhesives and glue dots as desired
• Optional, Stamp Happy Birthday with Birthday words stamps in expresson on orange card
• Cut each word individually leaving room for eyelet hole and “hang” from orange eyelet
