Let's Travel to France Card
Designed by Heidi Hastings
Materials:
Instructions:
- On your computer type a line of english and french words referring to travel, I used Trajet, Journey, Voyager, Travel, Vie Utile, Adventure, Billet, Ticket and then copied it over the entire page. I used french script for my font and black print. Print onto lime green cardstock card front.
- Fold your 8.5" x 11" sheet in half making a card 5.5" high and 8.5" wide (you will have to make your own envelope for this card).
- Using an atlas I scanned a photo of a map of France and printed it onto a sheet of white vellum (my map is 3" x 3").
- Tear around map and then using the distress ink pad stroke around the edges of the map and then take a paint brush and water and smudge it all around the edges to make it look burnt and water damaged. Then use your heat tool to dry it all and make the paper curl around the edges slightly.
- Cut out the eiffel tower from the collage sheet and also the picture of the gates (I cut this picture in two and used them either side of the eiffel tower as a glimpse through the gates).
- Assemble map and collage pictures onto card and stick using adhesives.
- Stick Class A Peels gold dot stickers (smallest ones) onto gates.
- Punch 6 holes above map & pictures on card (two, two and two - for threading fibers through) and insert eyelets.
- Thread two pieces of fiber through the first two holes and knot them, leaving a little slack, thread through the next two and knot and the same for the last leaving a little to hang down.
- Place two flowers on card and insert a gold brad into each one to secure to card.
- Finish bottom of card with fancy edged scissors or tear.
