Pudding Art Layout
Designed by Melanie Coombs
Materials:
Instructions:
- Use the red cardstock as your background. Cut a strip from the Daisy D Classroom
Dots paper, approximately 5” high and the full 12” across. Adhere to your page in the
position shown in the photo. Set aside.
- Mount your two photos on the bright yellow cardstock and trim, leaving a small
border of yellow showing. Use two of the ‘file tabs’ from the Daisy D School Days
Accessory sheet. Write the date on one of the tabs and whatever you wish on the
other (I wrote the name of my daughters’ daycare). Stick one tab to each photo mat as
shown in the photo. Set matted photos aside.
- Select an appropriate picture from the School Days patterned paper (I chose an art
scene) and cut it out. Mat onto the same yellow cardstock that you matted your
photos with. Glue towards the top right hand side of your layout, but still on top of
the strip of Classroom Dots paper. Insert brads on each corner of the matted picture,
alternating large yellow and red brads.
- Adhere a piece of the yellow tape measure ribbon directly under the strip of
Classroom Dots paper (I used a tape/glue runner for this).
- Cut a large rectangle from the Daisy D Classroom Stripes paper, approximately 8” x 6’,
or large enough to nicely frame your matted photo (and file tab on top). Ink the edges
of the striped paper rectangle with the red ink pad. Adhere the rectangle on the
bottom right hand side of your layout and then adhere one of your photos on the
striped paper. The photo I used here was a 5 X 7", trimmed down a little bit.
- Using the bright yellow cardstock to print on, I used Microsoft Word on my computer
to create the “Pudding Art’ title for my page, making sure you print it in a somewhat
small size. Cut the title into a square and cut a slightly larger square from the
Classroom Stripes paper to mat with behind your title square. Adhere your matted
title to the open space on the right hand side of your page. Attach small red and
yellow brads to each corner of the title square.
