Scrapbooking Page - Busted Layout

Materials:

Instructions:

  • Use the salmon coloured Bazzill cardstock as the base for your layout.
  • Use the corner rounding punch and round the corners of your 4x6 photo. Mat your 4x6 photo on the gold coloured Bazzill cardstock. Trim around the photo, leaving a border of approximately 1/2” showing around the photo. Use the corner rounding punch again and round the corners of the gold cardstock around the photo.
  • Adhere your matted photo to the ‘Dining With the Daveys’ paper. Trim around the matted photo, leaving ½” to ¾” border on the top and bottom, about ¼” on the right hand side and a longer length on the left side. Ink the edges with the black ink pad. Place this on your layout as shown, on an angle with some of the rectangle on the left hand side hanging off the edge of your layout. Trim the left hand edge along the edge of the side of your layout.
  • Cut strips from the following papers: Dining With the Daveys, Lady Kates Roses, London Sunset and Shopping with Dorothy. The widths can vary a bit and they should be different lengths. Cut one end of each strip, as shown, like an inverted ‘v’. Ink all sides, except the top edge. Place the strips on your layout as shown, on an angle, leaving a bit of the top edges of the strips hanging off of your page. Trim the pieces hanging off, along the edges of your layout.
  • Stamp the date of your photo on one of the strips, using the black ink pad and your alphabet and number stamps.
  • I used my printer to print my title, but you can easily stamp your title. Print your title onto a piece of the ‘London Sunset’ paper. Trim around the title, making a rectangle. Round the corners with your corner rounding punch. Mat your title onto the gold Bazzill cardstock, trimming to leave about ¼” border around your title rectangle. Round the corners of the gold cardstock and adhere the title to your layout as shown, also on an angle.
