Watercolor Stamping
Create the look of watercolor painting quickly & easily with stamps.
Color stamp using watercolor crayons (shown), watercolor pencil crayons or water based felts. I dip crayons & pencil crayons in water before coloring (be careful not to get too much water or your colors will run together too much).
I've added a darker or contrast color at the bottom of the tulips.
Spritz the colored stamp with water. The amount of water you spray will affect the stamped image - too much & you'll get a blob, too little & it won't give you a watercolor effect.
Stamp. You can repeat the image several times - each will be lighter.
Top 3 tulip images are colored with Tombow Dual Brush Pens - pastel and misted. Next 4 are inked with Big & Juicy Rainbow Ink Pad - Waterfalland misted. Bottom 5 are colored with watercolor pencils. Three down the side are colored with watercolor pencil crayons.
Stamps used: Kathy Davis Tulip Trio and Blue Long Stem.
Stamp was painted with Twinkling H20 watercolor paints, spritzed & stamped. Paint one color at a time & let dry or the colors will run together.
Stamps used: Kathy Davis Cherry Blossom.
